Dr. Ana M. Eng is a highly respected dermatologist and dermatopathologist who is currently in private practice in Elmhurst, Illinois. She is certified by the American Boards of Dermatology and Dermatopathology. She has published 48 articles in dermatology and dermatopathology with many papers on melanoma. She is the recipient of The Chicago Dermatological Society's prestigious Founders Award 1998 and has served as President 1986-1987 and Treasurer 1985-1986. Her past academic staff affiliations include University of Chicago, University of Illinois, and Loyola University. She loves to teach and is a frequent lecturer at the Osler Institute. Her medical education began at University of Santo Tomas Medical School in the Philippines. She then took up a dermatology residency at University of Chicago under Dr. Allan Lorincz followed by dermatopathology training under Dr. Hermann Pinkus and Dr. Amir Mehregan. Currently she serves as a consultant to several community hospitals in the Chicago area. Other interests include architecture, flower arrangements, Polynesian dancing and computer graphics.
