Dr. Klaus Lewin, Professor of Pathology and Medicine at UCLA Center for Health Sciences, had residency and fellowship training at Westminster Hospital Medical School and Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in England. He is an internationally renowned academician and lecturer, having presented over 200 invited lectures and workshops. His publications include 70 abstracts, two books, 26 published review articles, numerous book chapters, and over 130 research papers. Additionally, Dr. Lewin serves on numerous editorial boards, including those of the American Journal of Surgical Pathology and Human Pathology. He has also been the recipient of numerous research grants, mostly focused on the structure, function and pathologic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.

Dr. Lewin passed away in October 2005. His memorium is shown below. We are grateful for having had the chance to work with Dr. Lewin in producing his Tumors of the Gastrointestinal Tract CD-ROM. He will be missed dearly.
